You’ve Been Asking, So Here’s Our Favorite Santa Tradition For Littles

Every year at Gem State Christmas, I get the sweetest question from so many of you:

“What’s your favorite Santa tradition for little kids?”

Today, I’m finally sharing it—and trust me, it’s so simple, anyone can make it part of their Christmas season!

Ready? Here it is:

Every year, we write a letter to Santa... and we also write a letter from Santa back to our kids.

That’s it. But the magic it creates? Unforgettable.

Here’s how we do it:

🎄 Step 1: Letter to Santa

Before visiting Santa (especially at our Santa Storybook Encounters), we help our little ones write a letter sharing something sweet—what they’re proud of from the year, something they’re excited about, or a Christmas wish. It's not just about presents; it’s about connection.

🎅🏼 Step 2: Letter from Santa

After the visit, a few days later, a special letter "arrives" from Santa, praising their kindness, courage, or even how much they’ve grown. It’s personalized and magical—and honestly, the look on their faces is pure Christmas joy.
